SoulBox Privacy Policy
How SoulBox handles account data, Stripe billing state, AI processing, voice input, generated media, logs, and connected devices.
Privacy Summary
SoulBox is designed to collect as little personal information as practical while still operating accounts, subscriptions, AI generation, media storage, social features, and connected devices. We do not sell personal information, and we are not interested in saving your voice, training models on your voice, or storing voice recordings when avoidable.
Information You Provide
We may process account email, display name, profile fields, invite codes, bot names, bot personalities, prompts, memories, chat messages, generated media choices, voice samples, sounds, images, device names, support messages, and public-sharing settings. Optional profile fields are controlled by you.
Billing and Stripe
Stripe manages payment methods, card data, billing addresses, payment authentication, invoices, tax handling, refunds, and disputes. Full payment-card information and raw billing credentials do not sync back to SoulBox. SoulBox receives limited plan, customer, invoice, subscription, and payment-state data needed to unlock features and reconcile usage.
Voice, Dictation, and Transcription
On web, PWA, iOS, and Android experiences, SoulBox uses keyboard, browser, operating-system, or native dictation where available and receives the resulting text you send. External ESP32 devices may send audio to SoulBox or a configured provider for transcription because those devices cannot transcribe locally. SoulBox does not want to retain raw voice for transcription or train models on it.
AI Providers, Devices, and Logs
AI requests may send relevant prompts, context, settings, files, or generated media to internal services and third-party providers. Connected devices may send identifiers, firmware versions, network status, selected bot IDs, command status, and health information. Usage accounting may include counts and durations for TTS, audio, images, video, inference, storage, bots, voices, devices, queues, and plan-limited resources.
Sharing and Retention
Public bots, profiles, voices, images, sounds, conversations, follows, direct messages, friend requests, and notifications require storing and displaying the information needed for those features. We retain account, content, billing status, usage, logs, and operational records as needed to provide the service, secure it, enforce terms, resolve disputes, satisfy legal obligations, and support backups.
Your Choices and Contact
You choose what profile information to add, what to publish, what bots and devices to use, which supported providers or models to select, and whether to upload voice or media assets. For privacy questions, deletion requests, access requests, correction requests, or incident reports, contact privacy@soulbox.io. Effective May 17, 2026.
